The problem

A good resume isn't enough anymore.

A marketing resume shouldn't sound like a product manager's. A startup application shouldn't read like a corporate banking CV.

The best candidates often get ignored because their experience isn't presented in the language the employer is looking for.

Most people spend hours rewriting the same experience for every application, then give up and send the same file everywhere. ResumeMuse helps you adapt to each job in minutes, by highlighting what already makes you a strong candidate rather than making anything up.

How it works

Three simple steps.

Most tools ask for your entire career before they know what you're applying for. This one starts with the job.

01

Paste the job

Start with the role you're applying for. We identify the skills, responsibilities and experience that matter most to this employer.

02

Tell us what you've done

A few focused questions based on that role. No long forms, no questions about things the job never mentions.

03

Get a tailored resume

Your experience, rewritten into clearer and stronger bullets that match the opportunity in front of you.

Focused questions

We don't ask about your whole career. We ask about this job.

Applying for a Growth Manager role? You'll get asked about growth, partnerships, reporting and commercial results. Applying for a Product role? Completely different questions.

  • Fewer questions, because they're the right ones
  • Speak your answer if typing is slower
  • Your resume updates as you go

Why ResumeMuse

It's one small difference. It changes everything.

Generic AI resume builders

Ask about you first

They want your entire career history before they even know what job you're applying for. Then they polish it into something that fits everywhere and stands out nowhere.

  • Long forms before any value
  • Same output for every application
  • Happy to invent a number if you let them

ResumeMuse

Asks about the job first

We read the role, work out what actually matters to this employer, and then help you present the parts of your experience that fit it.

  • Value in the first thirty seconds
  • A different resume for a different role
  • Asks you for the number instead of guessing

Everyone has the same tools now. The advantage isn't better writing. It's better targeting.

One application, everything you need

Answer once. Use it everywhere.

No copying the same answers into three different tools. Everything below comes from the same conversation.

Your answersFour finished outputs

A tailored resume

Built around the role, in a layout recruiters and their software can both read.

A personalised cover letter

Written from the same answers, so it never contradicts your resume.

Interview questions

The ones this job is likely to ask, not a generic list you've already seen.

Talking points

Drawn from your own experience, so you walk in knowing your best two stories.

Honest by design

We won't invent achievements.

If you managed a team of five, we won't say ten. If you don't know the exact revenue number, we won't make one up. We'll ask, and if you don't know, the line stays honest without it.

WHAT WE WON'T DO

"Increased revenue by 47% and led a team of 12 across three markets."

WHAT WE'LL DO INSTEAD

"Grew revenue across three markets while leading the partnerships team." Then ask if you can put a number to it.

The best resume is still an honest one. It just needs to be a well aimed one too.

FAQ

Questions people ask first.

Do I need an existing resume?

No. You can start from nothing and answer questions instead, or upload what you have and skip anything it already covers. Both paths end in a complete resume.

Will it lie to make me look better?

No. If a bullet needs a number and you haven't given one, it asks you for an estimate. If you skip it, the line stays qualitative rather than getting an invented statistic attached to it. That rule is enforced before anything reaches your resume, not just requested politely.

What is the match score for?

To show you what's missing before you hit Apply, not to grade you. It tells you which requirements you've covered, which the employer keeps mentioning, and where a bullet is weaker than it needs to be. You can export at any score.

Will my resume get past the screening software?

Every template is single column with standard section headings and no information hidden in icons or headers, which is where most resumes get misread. Structure is the part that matters, and it's the part we control.

How long does one application take?

A few minutes. Most of that is answering questions about work you already did. Reusing the same answers for the cover letter and interview prep is what saves the real time.

Is what I paste kept private?

The preview above runs entirely in your browser and sends nothing anywhere. In the full product your job descriptions and answers are used to build your documents and nothing else.

The next job deserves a better resume.

You already have the experience. We'll help you present it the way this job is actually looking for.
